Zelensky Claims Some Allies Urged Ukraine to Limit Attacks on Russian Oil Facilities

Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that some of Ukraine’s allies have sent signals suggesting that attacks on Russian oil facilities be reduced, citing concerns over rapidly rising global energy prices.

Speaking to journalists via WhatsApp, Zelensky said that Ukraine is willing to follow these indications if Russia adopts a similar strategy.

He added, “Especially in light of the current severe global energy crisis, we have already received signals from certain partners on how our responses to Russia’s oil and energy sector could be moderated.”

The remarks highlight the delicate balance Ukraine faces between pursuing its military objectives and mitigating further disruptions to international energy markets.
