Chinese Cargo Ships Successfully Transit Strait of Hormuz Amid Ongoing Tensions

Islamabad (Qudrat Roznama) – Two container vessels operated by Chinese shipping giant COSCO Shipping have successfully passed through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, signaling a potential shift in regional maritime activity.
According to ship-tracking data, both vessels have crossed the Strait and are now en route to Malaysia. Earlier on Friday, the ships had approached the Strait but unexpectedly turned back, with no official explanation provided at the time.
Maritime traffic monitoring services indicate that this marks the first instance since the start of the Iran conflict that large container ships have successfully navigated through the Strait of Hormuz. The development is being seen as a possible sign of improving conditions for commercial shipping in the region despite ongoing tensions.
