High-Level Flood Surge in Nari River After Heavy Rains in Sibi

Sibi: Heavy rainfall in the mountainous surrounding Sibi has triggered a serious flood situation in the Nari River, raising concerns for nearby low-lying areas.

According to the Irrigation Department, water levels in the river have risen rapidly, with a high flood surge of approximately 92,000 cusecs currently passing through the Nari Headworks.

The شدت of the flood has significantly increased pressure on protective embankments, particularly at Bakhra Ghulam Bolak, posing a potential threat to nearby settlements.

Authorities, including the irrigation department and district administration, are closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary measures to prevent damage to flood defenses.

Residents living near the river have been advised to remain alert and prepare for any emergency situation as a precaution.
