Rain and Hailstorms Expected Across Pakistan Until March 30, Met Office Issues Alert

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert forecasting rain and possible hailstorms across many parts of the country until March 30, indicating a significant change in weather conditions.

According to the forecast, cities including Quetta, Gwadar, Makran, and Ziarat are likely to experience strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms and rain.

From tomorrow through March 30, rain and hailstorms are also expected in Lahore, Islamabad, Murree, and Rawalpindi. Similarly, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana may also receive thunderstorms with rain.

In addition, mountainous regions of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa face the risk of flash floods in local streams and possible landslides. Rain is also expected in plain areas including Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Kurram, and Waziristan.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has warned that heavy rainfall could trigger flash floods and urged citizens to take precautionary measures to ensure safety.
