Sergey Lavrov Signals Russia as Potential U.S. Alternative in Middle East

Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during a high-profile press conference in Moscow, made striking remarks about the evolving geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East and beyond. He warned that the ongoing Iran conflict is increasingly affecting civilians in neighboring countries and described recent dramatic events in the Middle East and Latin America as part of a failed global dominance attempt.
Lavrov labeled the current situation in Palestine as the “worst injustice” since 1948 and revealed that Russia has developed a long-term security plan for the Gulf region, emphasizing direct cooperation between five Arab countries and Iran. He further highlighted that Russia is strengthening its comprehensive partnership with China and implementing practical agreements with North Korea, aiming to establish a new balance of power in the region and ensure lasting peace in collaboration with Muslim and Arab nations.
