Over 20 Commercial Ships Cross Strait of Hormuz Despite US Blockade Claims

An American publication has reported that more than 20 commercial vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz within 24 hours, despite a US-imposed blockade.

Earlier, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) had claimed that during the first 24 hours of the closure, six ships were turned back and no Iranian vessel was able to pass through the strait.

According to CENTCOM, more than 10,000 sailors, marines, and airmen have been deployed to enforce the blockade. The restrictions reportedly apply to all ships traveling to and from Iranian ports via the Strait of Hormuz.

The command further stated that, except for Iran, ports across the Gulf remain open for maritime traffic.
