Pakistani Rupee Shows Slight Strength Against Dollar, Key Currencies Update for March 24

Islamabad: In Pakistan’s interbank market on Tuesday, the Pakistani rupee recorded a slight appreciation against the US dollar, while fluctuations were also observed in other major currencies, including the Saudi Riyal, in the open market.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar fell by three paisas in the interbank market, with the new rate recorded at ₨279.22 per dollar, down from ₨279.25 on the previous business day (March 19).

Other interbank rates recorded were:

Saudi Riyal: ₨74.38
UAE Dirham: ₨76.01
Bahraini Dinar: ₨739.56
Omani Rial: ₨725.25
Kuwaiti Dinar: ₨910.70
Qatari Riyal: ₨76.42

In the open market, the Forex Association of Pakistan reported the following rates:

US Dollar: Buy ₨279.02, Sell ₨280.25
Saudi Riyal: Buy ₨73.85, Sell ₨74.80
UAE Dirham: Buy ₨75.55, Sell ₨76.90

The minor strengthening of the rupee reflects ongoing adjustments in the currency market amid domestic and global financial factors.
