Jemima Raises Concerns Over NICOP Travel Suggestion for Imran Khan’s Children

LONDON: Jemima Goldsmith has expressed concerns over a proposal suggesting that the children of Imran Khan travel to Pakistan using NICOP cards instead of visas.
Responding to a statement by Atta Tarar, Jemima questioned the rationale behind denying visas while recommending travel through the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
In a post on social media, she said that such a proposal raises serious concerns, particularly regarding legal and diplomatic protections. According to her, individuals traveling on NICOP may not be entitled to the same level of consular protection typically available to those entering a country on a visa.
Jemima further warned that if Imran Khan’s children enter Pakistan using NICOP, they might not receive international diplomatic support in case of any legal complications. She described this as a significant legal and humanitarian issue that warrants careful consideration.
We all know that the reason you are refusing their visas and recommending they travel on NICOP cards (which they don’t have presently) is because that way they will have no British protection if you choose to arrest them on arrival. https://t.co/DOb4OlV6Aw
