US Intelligence Chief Warns Pakistan’s Long-Range Missiles Could Reach US

Washington: Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, has warned that Pakistan, along with Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran, is developing advanced and conventional ballistic missile systems capable of reaching U.S. territory.

Gabbard cautioned that Pakistan’s long-range missile program may include intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in the future, potentially extending their reach to the United States.

The report also forecasts a significant rise in global missile threats over the next decade, projecting that by 2035, the number of threats facing the U.S. could exceed 16,000.

In addition, militancy in South Asia, strained India-Pakistan relations, and regional terrorist incidents are highlighted as ongoing challenges to global security.

Iran is specifically mentioned as a threat to U.S. and Gulf interests, while escalating regional tensions are contributing to new challenges for international security.
