UAE Issues Emergency Safety Guidelines for Urdu-Speaking Residents Amid Missile and Drone Threats

Dubai / Abu Dhabi: Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have issued emergency alerts and safety instructions in Urdu for Pakistani and other Urdu-speaking residents following missile and drone threats originating from Iran. Officials later reassured residents and visitors that the situation remains under control.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the UAE’s air defense systems engaged and intercepted the potential threats. Following this, nationwide mobile alerts and precautionary instructions were disseminated.

The updated guidance in Urdu advises residents to stay in safe locations, rely only on verified official sources, and continue precautionary measures until further instructions are issued. Authorities emphasized avoiding the creation or sharing of unverified videos, not stopping on roads while driving, and remaining in secure locations until an official “all clear” is announced. The alert also instructed citizens to contact emergency services at 999 only for genuine emergencies, ensuring helplines remain available for critical cases.

Reports noted that the air defense system was activated at 6:28 AM in response to incoming missile and drone threats, following an earlier successful interception over Dubai at 2:04 AM.

Officials stressed that UAE’s defense and security systems are fully operational and that public safety is a top priority, assuring residents that the situation is being closely monitored and controlled.
