Five Women Killed as Shop Roof Collapses During Aid Distribution in Rahim Yar Khan

Islamabad: At least five women were killed and several others injured after the roof of a shop collapsed in Rahim Yar Khan, authorities confirmed.

According to police, the incident occurred in Chak 125-P, where a large number of women had gathered inside a shop to receive financial aid when the roof suddenly caved in.

Zahir Anwar confirmed that five women lost their lives in the accident, while several others sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, the principal of Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan said that around 30 injured women were brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

Rescue and local authorities responded to the incident, while further investigation into the cause of the roof collapse is underway.
