New Rain Spell to Hit Balochistan from August 9

Quetta:The Meteorological Department has announced that a new spell of rain will begin in Balochistan on August 9 and is expected to continue until August 12. This new weather system is anticipated to affect several regions of the province.

According to the Meteorological Department, the rain spell will impact areas including Khuzdar, Sorab, Kalat, Mastung, Naseerabad, Jafarabad, Sohbatpur, Jhal Magsi, Kachhi, Sibi, Panjgur, Awaran, Kohlu, Musakhel, Barkhan, Loralai, Zhob, Sherani, Ziarat, and Makran Division.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has instructed all district administrations to remain on high alert and has advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel. In addition, PDMA has imposed restrictions on picnic points and enforced Section 144 to mitigate the risk of potential flooding.

The PDMA has urged residents to avoid living in dilapidated houses and to move to safer locations to protect themselves from any possible hazards.
