Islamabad: Pakistan’s armed forces have reportedly killed 583 members of the Afghan Taliban and injured 795 others during the ongoing **Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq**, launched in response to cross-border attacks from Afghanistan.

According to figures shared by Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, the operation has inflicted heavy losses on Taliban forces. In a statement posted on the social media platform X (Twitter) on Sunday, he said that 583 Taliban personnel have been killed so far, while more than 795 have been wounded.

Tarar added that 242 Afghan Taliban check posts have been destroyed during the operation, while Pakistani security forces have taken control of 38 Afghan posts. He further stated that 213 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns belonging to the Taliban regime have also been destroyed.

According to the minister, Pakistani forces have carried out effective air strikes on 64 locations across Afghanistan as part of the operation.

The military operation began on the night of February 26 after what Pakistan described as unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban forces along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. In response, Pakistan’s armed forces conducted retaliatory strikes at multiple locations inside Afghanistan, targeting military installations in cities including Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia, and destroying several check posts.
