Iqbal Hussain’s Remarks About Preferring Older Women Spark Social Media Debate

Lahore: Pakistani actor and director Iqbal Hussain has become the center of attention on social media following candid remarks made during a recent television interview alongside his wife, veteran actress Bushra Ansari.
The couple recently appeared on a private channel’s special Ramadan transmission, where Iqbal Hussain made a lighthearted yet surprising statement about his personal preferences.
During the interview, he said that he was never attracted to younger girls and had always admired older women. In a humorous tone, he shared that whenever he visited a friend’s house, he would jokingly say, “Move the sisters aside, your mother is in danger,” prompting laughter as he recalled that his friends would “hide their mothers” in response.
He further explained that he never considered himself ideally suited for married life, describing his personality as somewhat free-spirited and nomadic. According to Hussain, even at a young age he was more serious and mature than his peers, which is why he often felt greater intellectual compatibility with women older than himself.
He also revealed that he had admired Bushra Ansari for a long time but was initially not ready for marriage. He shared that she would occasionally show him other marriage proposals, and at one point, he jokingly suggested that if she wanted to see him married, she should consider marrying him herself.
Later, he formally sent a proposal, and the two eventually tied the knot, beginning a new chapter in their lives together.
The interview has since gone viral, triggering mixed reactions and widespread discussion across social media platforms.
