CM Balochistan Orders Major Crackdown on Tax Evaders; Prominent Quetta Hotels and Restaurants Sealed

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta)** – On the special directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, authorities have intensified operations across the province against sales tax defaulters.
In this regard, the Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) sealed several well-known establishments in Quetta for violating tax laws, including Green Hotel on Prince Road, Gulshan Karahi on Togi Road, and Moon Restaurant at Millennium Mall.
According to officials, the business centers had been issued multiple notices over non-payment of sales tax dues and failure to comply with relevant regulations. However, due to continued non-compliance, strict action was taken to seal the premises.
The Balochistan Revenue Authority stated that indiscriminate action will continue to ensure an effective and transparent tax system in the province. Authorities emphasized that the provincial government remains committed to increasing revenue, promoting transparency in business activities, and establishing a fair competitive environment.
The trader community has been urged to strictly comply with tax laws to avoid legal action. Officials further clarified that violations of tax regulations will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict measures against defaulters will continue in the future.
