Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb Accuses Imran Khan of Seeking Power and Seeking an NRO
Lahore: Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has accused the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, of being a power-seeker and a deceiver. In a recent statement, Aurangzeb labeled Khan as a “pretender” who is begging for an NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance), which she asserts he will not receive. She claims that Khan is now suffering from the greatest delusion, with the public having seen through his true nature.
Aurangzeb criticized Khan for allegedly misleading the public with lies over the past four years, using tactics such as waving the ‘cypher’ and invoking the name of the United States. She declared that Khan’s attempts to seek an NRO or have his cases dismissed will be futile, and he must face accountability.
The senior minister further questioned the nature of attacks on May 9, and the assault on military installations, including the destruction of Colonel Sher Khan’s statue, the assault on the Quaid-e-Azam House, and Radio Pakistan. She asked if these acts were against specific individuals or institutions, implying that the assaults on GHQ and other military targets were attacks on the institutions themselves. Aurangzeb also criticized Khan for his role in the country’s economic decline, default, and rampant inflation.
