Aima Baig Reveals the Emotional Story Behind the First Song She Composed After Fajr Prayer

Islamabad: Popular and talented Pakistani singer Aima Baig has shared a deeply emotional and spiritual story about the inspiration behind one of her earliest compositions, leaving fans moved.

After gaining recognition through the comedy show Mazaaq Raat, Aima Baig went on to establish herself as a successful playback singer. Now, as she prepares to embark on a new journey with her debut music album, she has opened up about a personal moment that shaped her music.

In a recent interview with journalist Maliha Rehman, Aima shared that the inspiration for her first song came during an intensely emotional morning after offering Fajr prayer. She recalled missing her late mother deeply, with tears that would not stop flowing and an overwhelming desire to hug her.

“I offered Fajr prayer and felt extremely vulnerable,” she said. “Seeing some of my mother’s belongings made her memory even more intense. I tried to sleep afterward, but I kept crying. Around 6am, a few lyrics and a melody for my mother came into my heart, and I immediately recorded them.”

Aima explained that whenever she feels a melody, she records it instantly, even if her voice breaks or the recording remains incomplete.

She further revealed that during her mother’s illness, she was new to the media industry and spent most of her time working. Although her mother encouraged her to attend shows and pursue her career, those turned out to be her mother’s final days. Aima expressed regret that she could not spend as much time with her as she wished.

Her heartfelt revelations have deeply touched fans, who see in her story not just a singer’s journey, but the pain and love of a daughter remembering her mother.
