Jhanvi Kapoor Reveals Trauma of Seeing Fake Explicit Images of Herself at Age 15

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor has revealed that she saw fake explicit images of herself on an adult website when she was just 15, an experience that caused her significant mental distress.

Speaking on a podcast, Jhanvi said the incident occurred during her school days while attending an IT class. “The material was completely deepfake and had no connection to reality,” she said, explaining that it exposed her to the darker side of fame at a very young age.

She questioned whether being a public figure should come at the cost of enduring such unethical content. Jhanvi also expressed concern over AI-generated fake content circulating on social media, noting that fabricated images and videos of her are sometimes treated as real, and even credible news platforms occasionally share them.

The actress warned that this situation could lead to professional challenges, as directors or industry figures might attempt to use such fabricated material to exert pressure on actors in the future.
