PM Shehbaz Sharif Visits Islamabad’s Khadija-tul-Kubra Mosque After Terror Attack, Announces Compensation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Khadija-tul-Kubra Mosque in Islamabad, which was targeted in a recent terrorist attack, and strongly condemned the incident, calling it an act of extreme brutality.

Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said there could be no worse example of barbarity than this attack. He described the incident as a failed attempt to create division among the people, adding that such conspiracies would not succeed.

Shehbaz Sharif announced financial compensation of Rs5 million each for the families of those martyred in the attack. He also declared Rs3 million for those seriously injured and Rs1 million for individuals who sustained minor injuries.

The prime minister also visited the home of Aoun Abbas, who was martyred while trying to stop the suicide bomber. He paid tribute to Aoun Abbas’s bravery and sacrifice, praising his courageous act in the face of danger.
