Historic Milestone: Harcharan Singh Becomes First Sikh Officer Appointed as Lieutenant Colonel in Pakistan Army

**Rawalpindi:** Harcharan Singh has made history by being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Pakistan Army, becoming the first Sikh officer to reach this position.
Born in 1987 in Nankana Sahib, the ancestral city of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, Harcharan Singh is also the first Sikh officer to be commissioned in the Pakistan Army. He has been serving with the Baloch Regiment.
His promotion has been celebrated across Pakistani social media and within the Sikh community as a matter of pride. Citizens have extended their congratulations on this historic achievement.
