T20 World Cup: Reasons Behind Pakistan’s Decision Not to Play Against India Revealed

**Lahore:**
The reasons behind Pakistan’s decision not to play against India in the ICC T20 World Cup match scheduled for February 15 have come to light.

According to sources, there are multiple factors behind Pakistan’s decision to boycott the match against India. Government sources said that the central reason is what Pakistan views as the ICC’s biased decision regarding Bangladesh. The government of Pakistan wanted to express solidarity with Bangladesh over the issue.

Sources further alleged that Jay Shah, through his biased decisions, has effectively turned the International Cricket Council into an “Indian Cricket Council,” undermining the principles of justice and equality. They claimed that such decisions have severely damaged the credibility of the ICC.

Government sources said that on the ICC platform, different standards are applied for different countries, which reflects clear bias. “It was necessary to register a protest against this discriminatory approach,” the sources added.

It is pertinent to note that Pakistan has announced it will participate in the T20 World Cup but will not play the match against India.

The decision was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, in which key matters related to Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup were discussed.

Following the meeting, the government officially announced that Pakistan would take part in the T20 World Cup but would boycott the match against India, which is scheduled for February 15.
