Grand Alliance Leaders Condemn Raids, Arrests of Government Employees; Demand Immediate Action, Says Nasrullah Zarie

Quetta: Leaders of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP), Provincial President Nasrullah Khan Zarie and Provincial Secretary Faqir Shahal Kasi, have strongly condemned the raids on homes of Grand Alliance leaders, arrests, suspension of employees, and the use of force against peaceful protesting government employees.
In a joint statement, they demanded that all detained government employees be immediately released, all cases filed against them withdrawn, suspension orders revoked, and all employee demands promptly addressed.
The statement highlighted that government employees are the backbone of the state machinery, yet in the current era of crushing inflation, it has become extremely difficult for them to maintain a dignified life and uphold their modesty. The leaders criticized the government for failing to honor agreements on demands such as the Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) and other benefits, which should have included at least 100% salary increases.
They said the government merely offered temporary assurances under the guise of negotiations to end protests, but failed to implement promises, forcing employees back onto the streets. This, they said, is undemocratic and an open injustice to the employees.
The PNAP leaders added that the province is already struggling with instability, economic hardship, unemployment, and lack of basic services, and renewed employee protests are not in the public interest, placing full responsibility on the provincial government.
The party reiterated that it fully supports the legitimate, constitutional, and peaceful struggle of government employees and will continue to raise their voice in every forum.
