German President Warns US Policies Threaten Global Order, Calls for Collective Action

**Islamabad (Daily Qudrat):** German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has criticized the foreign policies of US President Donald Trump, warning that they pose a serious threat to the rules-based international system, global values, and democracy.

Addressing an event in Berlin, Steinmeier emphasized that ignoring international laws and alliances could turn the world into a playground for powerful nations to dominate weaker states. “We must work together to prevent the world from becoming a haven for plunderers,” he said.

The German President pointed out that recent US policies, following Russia’s annexation of Crimea and its attacks on Ukraine, have intensified the risks to global stability. He stressed that without a strong international legal framework and united global alliances, powerful countries may pressure smaller nations, undermining sovereignty and democracy, and plunging the world into disorder.

Steinmeier also urged Europe to adopt a clear and united stance in defense of international law. His remarks come in response to recent statements by President Trump asserting that, as Commander-in-Chief, he has full authority to order military action against any country based solely on his personal judgment and ethics.
