No New Military Operation Underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Says PPP Leader Shahla Raza

Islamabad:Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Shahla Raza has clarified that no new military operation is being launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that intelligence-based operations have already been ongoing in the province.

While speaking to the media, Shahla Raza responded to a statement by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi opposing a military operation. She said that such statements are frequently made, adding that intelligence-based operations have long been underway in the province and there is no new operation being initiated.

She emphasized that federal ministers should avoid making public statements on sensitive matters like military operations, and similarly, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should also refrain from issuing such remarks.

Shahla Raza further said that while there are various individuals and groups in Pakistan who work against the state, they still accept the Constitution of Pakistan. In contrast, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) does not recognize the Constitution, she said.

She stressed that the distinction between “good Taliban” and “bad Taliban” no longer exists and that everyone must understand this reality.
