Massive Protest Rally in Muslim Bagh Against QESCO’s Malpractices and Petrol Pump Closures

**Muslim Bagh (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP) organized a large-scale, peaceful protest rally and public gathering in Muslim Bagh city and its markets against QESCO’s alleged anti-public measures, humiliation of citizens at check posts, and the illegal closure of petrol pumps. The rally was led by PNAP Central Secretary and Provincial Senior Vice President Chairman Allah Noor Khan, along with Provincial Finance Secretary Saeed Akbar Khan Kakr, regional secretary Malik Jumma Khan Yunus Khail, Zaman Khan Kakr, and other party leaders.

A large number of party workers, local citizens, shopkeepers, transporters, and representatives from various segments of society participated in the march. Protesters marched through the main streets, chanting slogans such as “Down with QESCO’s anti-people actions,” “Petrol business closure unacceptable,” “Humiliation of citizens at check posts unacceptable,” and “Restore electricity feeders immediately,” resonating throughout the city.

At the subsequent public gathering, speakers accused QESCO of deliberately damaging the electricity system, illegally removing wires from electricity poles, and misappropriating equipment from over 150 feeders that were public property. They emphasized that these electricity assets belong to the public, having been installed through provincial and public funds, and condemned the dismantling of this infrastructure as unacceptable. The speakers warned that if the feeders were not immediately restored and wires reinstalled, PNAP would stage sit-in protests in front of QESCO offices with public support.

The rally also highlighted concerns about unnecessary and oppressive check posts on major highways, where citizens, including women, face harassment. They criticized the closure of petrol pumps, which has left thousands of families unemployed and struggling for daily sustenance. Additional grievances included slow progress on development projects on National Highway N-50 and increased insecurity in Muslim Bagh.

PNAP demanded immediate, serious, and practical solutions to all public grievances, warning that the party would further expand and organize its protest movement alongside the citizens if the issues remained unresolved. The rally and public gathering concluded peacefully.
