Decision Taken Not to Send Manager Anjum Saeed with Pakistan Hockey Team to Australia

**Islamabad:** Pakistan Hockey Team manager Anjum Saeed will not be part of the squad touring Australia for the upcoming Pro Hockey League matches.

According to sources, the decision was taken following an incident during the team’s recent tour of Argentina, where Anjum Saeed was offloaded from a flight due to smoking onboard.

The Pakistan hockey team’s training camp will begin on January 5 in Islamabad under the supervision of national team head coach Tahir Zaman. In the absence of the team manager, Tahir Zaman will personally oversee both the training camp and the management arrangements for the Australia tour.

In the second phase of the Pro Hockey League, Pakistan will play matches in Hobart, Australia, from February 10 to 15. Pakistan has been placed in a group alongside host Australia and Germany.

Sources say the decision aims to ensure better preparation and smoother management so that the national hockey team can deliver a strong performance in the second phase of the Pro League.
