Government Promises Prove False, Retired Federal Levies Employees Suffer Mental Distress: Nasrullah Zere

**Quetta:** Provincial President of the Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP), Nasrullah Khan Zere, has stated that the demands of retired Federal Levies Force employees are entirely legal and constitutional, but the provincial government has consistently failed to implement its announcements and promises, leaving elderly and retired employees in severe mental and financial distress.

He expressed these views while addressing a protest camp set up by retired Federal Levies personnel outside the Quetta Press Club, accompanied by a party delegation.

On the occasion, retired Levies employees informed the delegation that the Chief Minister had personally visited their protest camp on May 27, 2024, acknowledged their demands as legitimate, and assured them of immediate notification and implementation. However, despite the passage of one and a half years, no practical progress has been made.

Nasrullah Khan Zere said that retired Levies employees have been engaged in a peaceful, constitutional, and legal struggle for the past three years. He added that despite cabinet and assembly approval of the Golden Handshake decision, delaying tactics by the Home Department amount to a serious violation of basic human rights.

He criticized the government for spending billions of rupees on lavish expenditures and corruption, while denying legitimate rights to employees who served the force for 30 to 40 years.

In conclusion, Nasrullah Khan Zere announced that due to the government’s continued indifference, the Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party will continue its full support for the peaceful sit-in protest of the Federal Levies Force employees.
