Polio Vaccination Drive in Balochistan Achieves 99% Coverage; 3,000 Parents Refuse Doses

**Quetta:** Balochistan’s anti-polio campaign successfully administered polio drops to 99% of targeted children during the drive held from December 15 to 21, authorities confirmed. The seven-day campaign reflects significant progress in the fight against the crippling disease.

However, Emergency Operation Center (EOC) officials reported that around 3,000 parents across various districts refused to vaccinate their children. Health teams have been actively engaging with these parents to raise awareness and convince them of the vaccine’s importance.

EOC authorities emphasized that intensified strategies will be implemented in future campaigns to ensure full compliance and ultimately achieve complete eradication of polio from the province.
