Women Are Key to a Bright Future, Economic Empowerment Essential: Governor Announces Buses and Coaster for Students

Quetta: Governor of Balochistan, Jaffar Mandokhail, emphasized the crucial role of women in shaping a bright future, highlighting the importance of both education and economic empowerment for women. Speaking at the second convocation of Government Girls Post Graduate College, Quetta Cantt, he stated that the success of developed countries lies in providing quality education.
During the ceremony, Governor Mandokhail announced two buses for the female students, one coaster for teachers, and a cash grant of PKR 200,000 for the college’s band group. He also stated that all graduating students will be invited for a tea party at Governor House, Quetta. A total of 245 graduates received their degrees, while 14 female students were awarded gold medals and another 14 received the Badge of Honors.
Governor Mandokhail stressed that an educated mother ensures a well-trained family, and in developing countries like Pakistan, women’s economic independence is vital for making informed and autonomous decisions. He praised Principal Professor Sadia Farooqi and her team for organizing a successful convocation.
The event was attended by Vice Chancellor of the University of Balochistan, Dr. Zahoor Bazei, Additional Secretary Education Abdul Malik Achakzai, Director Colleges Muhammad Hussain Baloch, and other officials.
