Pakistan, Indonesia Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Defence Cooperation

Islamabad: Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief **Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir** met Indonesian President **Prabowo Subianto**, during which both sides discussed regional security and bilateral defence cooperation. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to further strengthening the already robust defence ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Indonesia.
According to the ISPR, the meeting—held in Islamabad—focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and advancing defence collaboration between the two nations.
President Prabowo Subianto praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged Pakistan’s significant role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said Pakistan greatly values its long-standing defence relations with Indonesia and remains committed to further enhancing cooperation in **training**, **counterterrorism**, and **capacity building**.
Both sides agreed to continue working together to reinforce strategic cooperation and deepen military-to-military engagement.
