Aleema Khan Holds Sit-In at Factory Checkpoint After Being Blocked from Meeting Imran Khan

Rawalpindi: *Aleema Khan*, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder **Imran Khan**, staged a sit-in at a factory checkpoint on Tuesday after police prevented her from meeting her brother. Several PTI workers also gathered at the site, chanting slogans against the government despite the police blockade.

Addressing the workers at the scene, Alima Khan urged them to remain calm, saying, **“We have no conflict with the police; they are our brothers. They are also under pressure and have been very cooperative with us.”** She emphasized that distancing the crowd was necessary because women were present at the sit-in.

Alima Khan accused authorities of denying Imran Khan meetings with family members for an extended period, calling it **“mental torture”**. She said, **“He stands strong. We have been trying to meet him continuously for a month. During the last visit, my sister did not discuss politics; talking about the behavior of government staff is not political.”** She demanded clarity on the justification for his solitary confinement and asked, **“On whose orders is he being held in isolation?”**

Speaking to journalists, Alima Khan warned them to ask thoughtful questions, stating that she would otherwise refrain from commenting.

As the situation escalated, dozens more PTI supporters arrived at the checkpoint, prompting Alima Khan to continue the sit-in with the gathered workers, who continued chanting slogans against the government.
