Sindh Police Launches Crackdown on Vehicles Without Number Plates and Driving Licenses

Karachi: The Sindh Police have decided to launch a comprehensive crackdown across the province against vehicles operating without number plates and drivers without valid licenses.
According to official details, the IG Sindh has issued a directive to Additional IG Karachi Range, Zonal DIGs, DIGs from Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, as well as DIG CIA and DIG Traffic Karachi and Hyderabad, along with district SSPs and SP AVLC, to take strict action against such violations.
The directive noted that recent observations revealed a significant number of vehicles running on roads without number plates, while many drivers were operating vehicles without licenses. Police officers have been instructed to immediately identify such vehicles and take strict legal action under the Motor Vehicle Ordinance. A comprehensive crackdown has been ordered to ensure full compliance with the law.
All units have been instructed to submit daily reports by 10:00 AM to the IGP Operations Room, detailing progress range-wise and district-wise, to monitor the campaign effectively.
The IG Sindh described the crackdown as crucial for ensuring adherence to traffic laws and strengthening security measures, directing all concerned officers to implement the orders immediately.
