Mahmood Khan Achakzai Calls 26th November a Dark Day in Pakistan’s History, Demands FIR Against Officials

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and head of Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, released a statement marking November 26 as one of the darkest days in Pakistan’s history. He highlighted the shooting of thousands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers by state forces.

Achakzai said the workers had gathered to express solidarity with their leaders, uphold the Constitution, restore the public mandate, and advocate for an independent judiciary. He emphasized that their only “crime” was demanding that national decisions be made by the elected parliament rather than a few rogue individuals, and that courts and the press remain free.

He described the martyrs of November 26 as defenders of truth and courage, transcending political affiliations, and cited the example of a young man from Pishin, the sole brother of five sisters, who lost his life in the firing.

Achakzai instructed that on November 26, demonstrations should be held in front of press clubs, prayers offered in mosques, and condolence visits made to the homes of the martyrs. He stressed that if any FIR is to be filed, it should name Shahbaz Naqvi and the relevant military officers posted at D-Chowk.

He concluded by stating that martyrs are the leaders of nations and called upon Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan, the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, and all democracy-supporting forces to commemorate the day fully and honor the struggle of the martyrs.
