Five Killed in Separate Violent Incidents Across Balochistan; Tortured Body Recovered in Kalat

QUETTA:At least five people, including a woman, were killed in separate violent incidents across Balochistan, while two others were injured in a firing incident in Ornach, Khuzdar. Meanwhile, an unidentified body bearing signs of torture was recovered in Kalat district, according to local reports.
In the first incident, armed men opened fire in Zor Garh village, Goth Pyaro Khan, in Usta Muhammad, killing a woman and a man. The suspects fled the scene after the shooting.
Police arrived after receiving information about the incident, took the bodies into custody and shifted them to a hospital. Following the completion of the necessary legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the victims’ families.
In another incident in Dalbandin, a man allegedly opened fire on his younger brother, Muhammad Rafiq, seriously injuring him. The injured man later succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
Separately, two people were killed and two others injured in a firing incident in Ornach, Khuzdar, reportedly triggered by a financial dispute.
The deceased were identified as Khuda Bakhsh, son of Safar Khan, and Ashfaq, son of Khuda Bakhsh. The injured were identified as Fida Hussain, son of Khuda Bakhsh, and Zarif, son of Yar Muhammad.
According to local sources, an argument over a monetary transaction escalated into gunfire. Police reached the scene and shifted the bodies and injured individuals to a nearby hospital. The injured were subsequently being transferred to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
In a separate development, the body of an unidentified man, bearing signs of torture and decomposition, was recovered from the Chhappar Toghu area of Kalat district.
The body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Kalat for identification and completion of the necessary legal procedures.
Police investigations into the reported incidents are underway, while further details were awaited.
