BNP-A Leader Mir Asad Baloch Slams Government: ‘No Peace or State Authority in Balochistan; Bodies Are Falling Everywhere

QUETTA – Balochistan National Party (Awami) Chairman Mir Asad Baloch has strongly criticized the provincial government, claiming that law and order in Balochistan has completely collapsed and the government’s claims of peace are “false and baseless.”

Speaking to the media after the provincial assembly session, Mir Asad Baloch said there is “no peace and no writ of the state” in Balochistan, and that bomb blasts and killings have become a routine occurrence across the province.

“If there is truly peace, then why are bodies falling everywhere?” he asked, insisting that the government must take serious measures to restore security.

He added that BNP-Awami is the only party consistently raising public-interest issues on the assembly floor, unlike other opposition groups. Explaining his absence from a few sessions, he said he had been on Umrah and never intentionally missed assembly proceedings, as the assembly is the only platform where they can voice public concerns.

Mir Asad Baloch said the government’s statements about improved security exist only in the media, while the reality on the ground is entirely different.

“Every face in Balochistan shows worry and fear. The province is witnessing nothing but explosions and dead bodies. The government must point out which area is peaceful and where people are living without fear,” he remarked.

He urged the government to back its claims of improved law and order with concrete actions so that the public can trust that genuine efforts are being made to restore peace in the province.
