Pakistan Petroleum Informs PSX of Increased Oil and Gas Reserves Without Hardware Upgrades

Islamabad: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has informed the **Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)** via official letter that its oil and gas reserves have increased, achieved **without any hardware modifications** at its plants.

According to the letter, production and processing capacity at the **Gambat South Block in Sanghar** has seen a significant rise. The South Block plant, which in 2016 operated at **50 MMSCFD of raw gas** with **26% CO₂ design capacity**, was previously upgraded in 2021-22 to produce **55 MMSCFD of gas**.

PPL stated that **ongoing operational improvements** have now raised raw gas output to **60 MMSCFD**. The plant’s daily production currently includes **5 MMSCFD of gas, 35 barrels of light oil, and 1 metric ton of LPG**.

The company emphasized that the **increase in reserves and output was achieved solely through process optimization**, without any hardware changes to the plant.
