KP Government to Share Peace Jirga Declaration with Federal Government and Security Agencies

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced that the declaration of the upcoming peace *jirga*, scheduled for November 12, will be sent to the federal government and all security agencies and presented in the Apex Committee.

All major political parties in the province have confirmed their participation in the *jirga*, and special passes have been issued for attendees. Non-related individuals will not be allowed entry, and a comprehensive security plan has been put in place. Seating arrangements have been made for approximately 400 participants in the KP Assembly.

The peace *jirga* has been convened to discuss the maintenance of law and order in the province and the role of security agencies in ongoing operations. KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will attend the event, which will be hosted by Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati. Over 20 political parties, including ANP, PPP, PML-N, JUI, Jamaat-e-Islami, Qaumi Watan Party, and PML-Q, as well as the Bar Council, lawyers, and civil society representatives, have confirmed their participation.

The *jirga* program includes approximately 40 speeches, and a committee will draft the official declaration. The Chief Minister and Speaker will jointly issue the declaration, which will be sent to the federal government and all security agencies. Immediately after the *jirga*, an Apex Committee meeting will be held to present the declaration and discuss its implementation.
