Senior Politician Claims KP CM Approves Security Operation in His Constituency

**Islamabad:** Senior politician and National Assembly member Sher Afzal Marwat has alleged that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has authorized a security operation in his own constituency, leaving little room for PTI’s maneuvering.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Marwat claimed that over the past week, the KP government and PTI officials have been accommodating the federal government, possibly attempting to “open doors.” He added that although the provincial government was previously opposed to security operations, the Chief Minister has now permitted one in his constituency, with all operational expenses covered by the provincial government.

Marwat also discussed the provincial handling of Afghan refugees, noting that while former PM Imran Khan’s policy was to remove Afghans from all of Pakistan except KP, the provincial government has now reportedly repatriated 90% of Afghans to Afghanistan and closed all Afghan camps in the province.

He emphasized that these actions were carried out despite the Chief Minister’s reluctance and that Imran Khan has not yet been made aware. Regarding the potential arrival of Imran Khan’s sons, Qasim and Suleman, Marwat expressed skepticism, stating that previous indications suggest they may not come, and even if they do, the government may prevent their entry.
