Punjab Launches Mobile App to Provide Assistive Devices and Wheelchairs for People with Disabilities

Lahore: The Punjab Social Welfare Department has launched the “Assistive Devices and Wheelchair” mobile application to make access to assistive tools easier for people with disabilities.
Under the Chief Minister of Punjab’s digital vision, the new app allows individuals with disabilities to request wheelchairs and other assistive devices from the comfort of their homes. The initiative was launched under the guidance of Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal, Sohail Shaukat Butt.
Through the app, people with disabilities can submit requests directly from their smartphones. The app is available for download on Google Play Store at [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adwc&hl=en](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adwc&hl=en). Field officers can also register and monitor requests via the app, ensuring smoother delivery of services.
Sohail Shaukat Butt stated that empowering people with disabilities through digital technology is a key mission of the Punjab government, which remains committed to providing them with necessary facilities and support. Field officers have been instructed to install the app and raise awareness among the public.
