FC Camp Office Near Marriott and Ayub Chowk Demolished in Anti-Encroachment Drive: Interior Ministry

ISLAMABAD: An FC camp office established on a green belt near Marriott Hotel and Ayub Chowk in Islamabad has been demolished during an ongoing anti-encroachment operation, according to the Ministry of Interior.
As reported by journalist Maryam Nawaz Khan, citing an official statement from the Interior Ministry, the operation was carried out under the supervision of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi as part of a citywide drive against illegal encroachments.
The Interior Minister stated that the operation against encroachments in Islamabad would continue without discrimination. He said illegal constructions and encroachments are being removed without any pressure, and that an alternative legal location would be provided for the FC camp office.
He further emphasized a “zero tolerance policy” against encroachments and land grabbing, adding that no public or private institution would be allowed to occupy or construct on state land illegally.
According to the statement, the government’s priority is to restore Islamabad to its original planned structure and ensure the complete removal of all encroachments across the city.
