Dr. Javed Tarin from Balochistan Appointed to Global Council of World Agriculture Forum

Quetta: Prominent agricultural expert **Dr. Muhammad Javed Tarin** from Balochistan has received an international honor, being **appointed as a member of the Global Council of the World Agriculture Forum (WAF)** for his outstanding research contributions and scientific publications.
The **World Agriculture Forum**, modeled after the World Economic Forum, is a global organization headquartered in the Netherlands, with offices in the United States and Rome. It actively promotes agriculture, sustainable development, and scientific research worldwide.
Dr. Javed Tarin, a senior technocrat in Grade 20 at the Department of Agriculture, holds a **PhD from Air University, Rawalpindi**, and has conducted advanced research on modern agricultural technologies at **Curtin University of Technology, Australia**.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tarin said, “This is not only a great honor for Pakistan but especially for Balochistan. For the first time in history, an agricultural expert from Pakistan has been elected to the WAF Global Council, and this recognition has brought pride to Balochistan.”
He added that his appointment represents a historic milestone, highlighting the **emerging capabilities of Pakistan, particularly Balochistan, in global agricultural research and innovation**.
