Parliament Has Been Reduced to a Rubber Stamp in Pakistan, Says Akhtar Mengal

*Quetta (Qudrat Daily)* — **Balochistan National Party (BNP) Chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal** has said that the role of Pakistan’s Parliament has been reduced to that of a mere rubber stamp.
In a statement posted on social media platform **X (formerly Twitter)**, Mengal remarked that **major national decisions — whether domestic or foreign — are made at the GHQ**, while Parliament is only used to give **formal approval** to those decisions.
He added that this practice has **weakened the foundations of democracy** in Pakistan and **reduced the role of elected representatives to mere symbolism**.
