Pakistan Rejects Israel’s Move to Annex Occupied West Bank, Urges Global Action

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly rejected Israel’s controversial decision to annex the **Occupied West Bank** and called on the **international community** to take immediate and effective measures against what it described as an illegal and provocative act.

In an official statement, the **Foreign Office** said Pakistan firmly condemns Israel’s attempts to extend its sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories and to legalize the annexation of the West Bank.

The spokesperson stated that the **proposed Israeli legislation**, recently introduced in the country’s parliament, represents a **flagrant violation** of relevant **UN Security Council resolutions**, **international law**, and the **inalienable rights of the Palestinian people**.

“These unlawful and inflammatory actions undermine ongoing efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region,” the statement read. Pakistan urged the international community to **intervene immediately** to halt these illegal measures and hold the **Israeli occupation forces accountable** for their continuous violations of international law.

Reaffirming its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Pakistan reiterated its commitment to working with regional and global partners to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and uphold their **right to self-determination, peace, justice, and dignity.**

Pakistan also reiterated its longstanding position in favor of an **independent, sovereign, viable, and geographically contiguous State of Palestine**, based on the **pre-1967 borders**, with **Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem)** as its capital.
