Female Suspect Flees Court After Bail Rejected in Alleged Fraud Case; Male Accused Arrested

ISLAMABAD: The Special Central Judge in Islamabad has dismissed the bail pleas of a female and a male suspect in an alleged fraud case involving the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA).
During the hearing, presided over by Judge FIA Humayun Dilawar, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested the male suspect, Zakir Hussain, from the courtroom, while the female suspect, Uzma Batool, managed to flee from the court premises.
According to the FIA, Zakir Hussain was serving as a *patwari* (land revenue officer) in the FGEHA. He is accused of fraudulently adding fake co-owners in the supplementary award of Sector G-14/3 and misusing his official authority to allot plots to unauthorized individuals.
The alleged forgery reportedly deprived genuine property owners of their rightful plots, causing significant losses and raising concerns about corruption within the housing authority.
