IHC Judge Criticizes Delay in Recruitment Rules, Says ‘Our Court Rules Were Made Overnight’

ISLAMABAD: Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court made notable remarks during the hearing of a case related to appointments in the Bureau of Statistics, criticizing the prolonged delay in finalizing recruitment rules.
Addressing the counsel, Justice Kayani observed, *“It has been five months, and you have still not been able to frame the recruitment rules.”*
He added humorously, *“Our High Court’s rules were made in one night and even signed the same night. We can lend you our court staff; they will draft your rules overnight and even get them signed.”*
The remarks highlighted the judiciary’s concern over bureaucratic delays in implementing recruitment frameworks for government institutions.
