CM Balochistan Chairs Key Meeting on Technical Education; Vows Empowerment of Youth through Skills Training

Quetta:Balochistan Chief Minister **Mir Sarfraz Bugti** chaired an important meeting on Wednesday to review the performance of the **Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA)**. The session focused on evaluating ongoing projects, enhancing the province’s technical education infrastructure, and formulating future strategies to equip youth with employable skills.

The meeting was attended by **Provincial Advisor for Labour and Manpower Sardar Ghulam Rasool Umrani**, **Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan**, **Principal Secretary Babar Khan**, **Labour Secretary Niaz Nechari**, and **B-TEVTA Managing Director Tariq Javed Mengal**.

During the meeting, CM Bugti described B-TEVTA as a **vital institution** in developing a skilled workforce across Balochistan. He emphasized that the authority plays a key role in **creating employment opportunities** for youth by equipping them with relevant technical training.

A detailed discussion was also held on the **Chief Minister’s Youth Skills Development Program**, which aims to provide **modern vocational training** to young people across the province. The Chief Minister noted that the program is designed not just to enable youth to find jobs within Pakistan, but also to help them compete **in the international labor market**.

CM Bugti issued directives to **further strengthen B-TEVTA’s institutional structure** and to **expand the capacity of training centers** across Balochistan. He reaffirmed the provincial government’s **strong commitment to youth empowerment**, stating that **all possible resources will be utilized** to ensure that young people in the province have access to quality technical education and economic opportunities.
