China Expresses Deep Sympathy Over Devastating Floods in Pakistan

Beijing has expressed profound sorrow over the severe floods in Pakistan that have caused extensive loss of life and property. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the injured, expressing confidence that the Pakistani people will overcome this disaster and swiftly move towards recovery.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi personally extended his sympathies to his Pakistani counterpart, Ishaq Dar. Meanwhile, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan is actively checking on the welfare of Chinese nationals in the affected areas and has reported no casualties or injuries among them so far.
The recent heavy rains and floods have claimed over 650 lives across Pakistan. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), since June 26, a total of 657 people have died due to rain-related incidents including landslides and flooding.
