Karachi: Two More Lives Lost in Separate Truck Accidents; Both Drivers Arrested

Karachi:Two tragic truck-related accidents claimed the lives of a **woman and an 8-year-old girl** in separate incidents in Karachi, further raising concerns about **reckless driving and poor traffic enforcement** in the city.

According to police, the first incident occurred near **Bacha Khan Chowk in the SITE area**, where a **woman fell off a motorcycle** and was subsequently **run over by a truck**. The driver was **immediately arrested**, and an investigation is underway.

In a separate incident, tragedy struck in **Bhains Colony**, where an **8-year-old girl was hit and killed by a truck** while crossing the road after getting off a bus. Police confirmed that the **truck driver was arrested** at the scene, and the **vehicle was shifted to the police station**.

Shockingly, the **arrested driver did not possess a valid driving license**, raising questions about how such individuals continue to operate heavy vehicles on busy city roads.

These back-to-back incidents have once again highlighted the **urgent need for stricter regulation and enforcement** of traffic laws, particularly regarding **commercial vehicle drivers**, many of whom operate **without proper training or licenses**.

Citizens and rights activists are calling on **Karachi traffic police and city administration** to take **immediate and concrete steps** to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
