ANP Leader Malik Naeem Bazei Terms Mines & Minerals Act a Tool for Resource Grabbing; Welcomes Advocate Samandar Khan Kasi to Party

Quetta:Senior member of the central committee of **Awami National Party (ANP)** and Member of the Provincial Assembly, **Malik Naeem Khan Bazei**, strongly criticized the **Mines and Minerals Act**, calling it a tool for **resource occupation** that has historically fueled alienation and deprivation among the **Pashtun and Baloch communities**.

Speaking at a gathering held at the residence of **Advocate Malik Samandar Khan Kasi**, who formally joined the ANP, Bazei said such undemocratic actions have led to deep national divides, even resulting in the country’s historic partition.

He congratulated **Samandar Khan Kasi** on joining the party, describing him as a long-standing nationalist who has been active in progressive politics since his student days, particularly through the platform of the **Pashtun Students Federation (PSF)**.

On this occasion, **Malik Samandar Khan Kasi** also addressed the gathering and highlighted the current political and social crises facing the Pashtun belt. He alleged that large-scale military operations are ongoing in **Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, particularly in Pashtun regions, where **millions of acres of land** have reportedly been allotted to non-local individuals.

Both leaders condemned what they termed as “non-democratic maneuvers” that, according to them, are deepening the sense of alienation and deprivation among the indigenous populations of the region. They reiterated that the **Mines and Minerals Act** reflects a systematic attempt to **exploit natural resources** at the expense of the local population.

Bazei concluded by saying that ANP will continue to oppose such exploitative policies and stand for the **democratic, political, and economic rights** of the Pashtun and Baloch peoples.
