They said these electricity issues have severely affected fishermen’s livelihoods, ice supply, business activities, and daily life.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch assured immediate steps to address the issues after listening to all concerns. He said that Pishkan is an important coastal area of Gwadar, and depriving its people of basic facilities like electricity is unacceptable.
He added that the Haq Do Tehreek will not remain silent on public issues and will strongly raise the electricity crisis of Pishkan at all relevant forums.
He said he will present demands in the Balochistan Assembly and before relevant authorities for upgrading the Pishkan feeder, installation of new transformers, elimination of low voltage issues, and a fair load shedding schedule.
He further directed that a complete record of public complaints should be compiled and submitted to K-Electric and other concerned departments to address issues such as overbilling and incorrect billing.
At the end of the meeting, local representatives and participants appreciated Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman’s visit and his interest in resolving public issues, expressing hope that the people of Pishkan will soon receive relief.
